I, Travis, have been playing with numbers. I have this addiction to Sudoku that I'm not even trying to buck. Also, I've had the opportunity to teach Middle School Mathematics for the last three years. I've really had fun with that. So I guess that's how my art is beginning to bend into the subject of numbers. The beauty of those nine digits really facinates me. I'm not sure exactly what it is about them, or where I'm going with all of this, but I don't want to stop just yet. I have a lot more to explore in this area. Wow... beauty in numbers. I've never thought about that. Mathematics is not my favorite activity... though when I DO take the time to focus on it, it's not all that bad. But to be able to spend so much time with them like you have... I suppose that's what spending three years in intimate relationship with those numbers does... you begin to see the beauty... well... that is if you're the artsy type that thinks about such things. Like... I don't think my husband would ever see beauty in numbers, as he does not even think about the beauty in a sunset. While I am all about like... I would totally see the beauty in numbers given the opportunity to spend so much time with them. It's amazing to me how everyone's mind works differently.
